Yes....the bottoms have some scratches & divots in them.  There's also a bit of oxidation to the copper inside.  Not seeing any makers marks tho.  :'(

I'll take some pics of the bottoms & insides too.

I don't know any thing about these kids of ceramics, but is it possibly a trivet??  Put it on the dining table with a hot pot on it??

OMG!  Loved the video...and the Bird screeching for treats!  Gotta love that!!

That thing looks amazing.  I'm a total "old device" lover.  Especially kitchen gadgets  ;D

Thanks Rauville!  I took a good look at the back & didn't see where a mirror may have been attached...but if it did have one at one time, it's long gone now.  Boo.

I'm ok with that tho.  Still seems like a great buy at $75.

I finally got over to the auction house earlier today to pick up the dresser.  Looked ALL over for any kind of make or date...nada  :(  But, anywho...here it is!

Gorgeous!!  Your stamps look very similar to ones at the top of this page.  Seems yours (according to what I see) is pre-1866 & (naturally) "coming soon"!  Might want to hold onto this link for future...

Wow...great job on the weld!  Now that great little beater has a happy new home & is fully functional to boot!!  ;D

So Tales...what is that cast iron device clamped to your Hoosier??  I was trying to figure it out, but I'm at a loss on this one!

Greetings all!  Been a month or so since I dropped in.....Christmas holiday had me super busy.  I went to a local auction in town last evening & scored a couple sweet old brass irons!  Got the 2 of them for $32 total.

Thanks!  I really like Mimi's!  I have always wanted a red kitchen, so if I'd have seen one like that it would be sitting in mine now!  Just adorable  ;D

Mine has a gazillion layers of paint on it too.  Got all the door & drawer fronts stripped & repainted.  Did that last Fall (then the shoulder gave up on me & the surgeon took over...)  Still need to clean up the base & the top.  It's all going to get done in time...Lord Willing!

What an adorable cabinet!!!  I love the red trim  ;D

Yours is the first I've seen with the design over the glass like mine. This one is made by the Keystone Cabinet Co. out of Littlestown, PA.

I love shops like Goodwill!  I have the Salvation Army store 5 houses away from me & the Goodwill about 2 miles away.  I've found all kinds of goodies there...plus they both help worthy causes!   ;D

I have no history on the sofa, as I found it on the street.

Oh Man!  That's the best deal in town!  Even if you have to pay for the reupholstering... that's one nice piece of furniture.

Makes me hate my Bassett...  Under 5 years old, I'm pretty much the only person who sits on it, piece of crap & sagging cushions (I weigh about 115).  I cannot wait to get rid of that thing when I find something cool like yours.  I won't buy another "new" piece of furniture again if I can help it!

Looks like one of those mountainside "drawings" that can only be seen from a plane.
