I didn't know that.  All I can come up with on the internet is the supreme court ruling on the labor sdispute between the company and the union.  If it ends up having no value I plan on using it as a planter or something.  I just have no idea which direction to look to find out if it does have any value.  I personally find it amazing that it is still heating my house after that many years.

I have been trying to find out any information on value of a Sands manufacturing co water heater.  I think I have found out that the serial number tells me it was manufactured the 23rd week of 1912.  I am getting a new furnace/boiler for efficiency. The sands water heater is still heating my 2 story farmhouse at least until next week.  Below is what is on the manufactures tag:
 
Sands Manufacturing Co
Cleveland 27, oh
Model 100-s
Serial # 1223
type   mixed gas

I will try to attach a picture.  Any information or direction that I can look in would be greatly appreciated.
