I don't know if it helps but the inside is lined with red felt and there is a very old square sticker with cut corners that says "Armeria Murenu" in white writing with a reddish background, with a few other words too. I don't know if the sticker relates to the chess set or where it came from.

Folded up the board is roughly 7 by 3 1/2 inches. That's folded closed.

My tape measure is at work so I can't be exact.

I'm just looking for a rough value to sell it. It is fairly old as it was given to me by one of my grandmothers older friends who died along time ago and he had it for a very long time.

Hi all,

First post! Years ago I was given a walnut (i think), folding travel chess set. It has small wooden carved pieces in light and dark wood which are complete and undamaged.

The board itself has holes in each square as the pieces have a little pin on the base of them which fit into the holes. Its in reasonable condition, there is some wear from use etc. It obviously has some age to it.

I never use it, it just sits in a drawer so I was thinking of selling it, but I have literally no idea what it's worth!

So any ideas?

I'll upload some photo's shortly.

Thanks,

Scott
