Antique Questions Forum / Re: Mohlhenrich Furniture Company

Thanks for the info! Based on a little bit of research I've done, it appears Mohlhenrich became president of Reliable and then changed the name to Mohlhenrich Furniture Company around 1893. Based on the dates and comparing the piece to others I've found online (wooden wheel casters, etc.) I was thinking this might be Jacobean Revival style. Anyone else have any opinions? Based on that, any good feel for value? Im not sure if the fact that it has a maker if that would make it any more valuable, despite the fact that the maker does not seem to be well known. We love the set, so this is purely out of curiosity sake. Thanks!!

Curious if anyone has any knowledge on Mohlhenrich Furniture Company based in Baltimore. We recently acquired a dining table, dining chairs and china cabinet with the Mohlhenrich marking. Google searches are not coming up with too much information, so I was curious if anyone knows anything about this maker. Thanks!!

Just trying to see if anyone might have some idea on time period/etc on a piece I recently purchased. I loved the way it looked, but I know absolutely nothing about it! Any info or suggestions would be great!

Thanks!

Antique Questions Forum / Re: sideboard with no-445 marking

Thank you so much for the quick response, Mart! And - for all of the information. I paid $200 for the piece (without knowing anything about it - just liking the way it looked). Do you think that was reasonable for what you believe it to be?

I attempted to take a few more photos...again, anything you can tell me would be fantastic. There are two holes in the back and one has a "bracket" type thing attached. I include a picture of that as well. I'm not sure if that is original to the piece or not.

Thanks!

I'm new to this, so please let me know if you need any additional information from me.

I recently purchased the sideboard/buffet in central PA. I am not able to find any distinguishing marks, except for on the back of the sideboard where it is stamped with "NO-445" I have attached a few pictures of the piece. Any information or details, including a relative age of the piece, would be be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
