Antique Questions Forum / Another Antique Electric Fan
« on: June 19, 2012, 07:00:02 pm »
Picked up yet another fan!  (I have to say these things are cool, just might make a collection out of them yet!)

This is a Westinghouse Electric Fan that I believe dates from the 1930s or 1940s.  It is all metal and quite heavy, certainly built to last.  The fan is in excellent shape with even the words imprinted on it still painted nicely.  It still works, blowing and oscillating; the cord has been replaced as I imagine the old one was shot.
Any experts out there that can help me out with the value of this piece?
Thanks,
Angus

I've got a pretty cool piece here today that I'm interested in knowing the value of.
It is a vintage Dominion Electric Fan that is in pretty good condition and still functional.  It's all metal and actually weighs quite a bit!

Help on the value of this thing would really be appreciated!

Antique Questions Forum / Gerz West German Beer Stein
« on: May 19, 2012, 07:50:12 pm »
Got another beer stein!  This one is made by a West German company, Gerz, and dates from the early 1980s according to the markings on the bottom.  Complete with lid, the stein depicts some cherubs and what appears to be a family scene.
I'm wondering what this thing is worth in its excellent condition.  I saw someone selling this model for $100+ on Ebay but could it really be worth that much??
Thanks in advance,
- Angus

Antique Questions Forum / Corzelius Hand Painted German Beer Stein
« on: May 13, 2012, 06:49:36 pm »
I'm curious as to whether or not this is even old.  All I know is that it is a Corzelius Beer Stein made in Germany.
The surrounding scene is of horses on the hunt and appears to be hand painted.
What might this be worth?

Antique Questions Forum / Old Board Games
« on: May 08, 2012, 06:52:29 pm »
Back with some more stuff I need appraised:)  I dug up some old kid's board games dating from the 60's and 70's.  I don't have much use for these anymore so I figured I would try and sell them, so I could use a price!  (Sorry if these aren't technically antiques)
1) Hasbro Alley Up Game
Condition: Good
Parts: All There

2) Milton Bradley Concentration Game
Condition: Closer to Good
Parts: Pretty Much All There

3) Gilbert Chem Lab 4 Set
Condition: Average
Parts: Pretty Much All There

Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the help!  I've also added an old record player so any help on that would be appreciated!

Hey,
Today I am looking for an appraisal on an item I recently purchased at an auction, an old Picnic basket.  I thought this looked neat, so for $.50, what the heck!  It is in good condition and plaid on the outside.  Upon opening up the flap, I found it was made by Redmon out of Peru, Indiana.  I also have the pie rack, which was inside of the basket.
Overall, I'm mainly looking for the value of this thing...but some history/names of picnic basket makers to look out for next time would help too:)

The basket.

The pie rack.

I've also got this.  I'm not really sure at all what it is; according to the label it is an Emerson Phonoradio but it looks like a record player to me.  Everything is operable with the exception of the fact that the needle came off of the arm, so at the moment it can not actually play.  I'm looking for the value of this item as it sits.

The tubing in the back.

I am looking to get rid of each of these items, so if you are really interested, shoot me what you would want to pay.
Thanks for the help!
- Angus
