Antique Questions Forum / Antique chair - unknown date, manufacturer or style?

Wondering what this lovely little chair *is*, exactly. There's a partial label underneath (in english) but it doesn't provide any leads.
Some aspects seem gothic, others english, and still others moorish or asian. With the small dimensions (19x19 footprint) it's too small for us to sit in, which led me to believe it was perhaps a compact campaign desk chair.
Guessing the finish is original and likely a darker hardwood like walnut or mahogany.
Any ideas? Thoughts on age or even the name of a style to begin tracking down a value? It's been in my family for generations, but I'm too big to fit in it and imagine I'll sell it soon.
