Antique Questions Forum / Portrait of a lady print
« on: September 22, 2012, 02:15:20 pm »
I  am sorry for posting a query again as I may not have explained it correctly.

I have come across a replica print of the portrait of a lady, pe falconet ( see attached print). At the back of the print/ frame, it has a label saying By permission of the Edward gallery.

Searching the Internet, the exact print is in the connoisseur xxxv published in 1913 magazine.

Can anyone please tell me if it is classified as antique and has any value...

Hi
Thanks for the reply.. really appreciated it

Hi
I am struggling to load the pictures..but may have cracked it... Please see pictures below.

This is definitely NOT the original as it is a print and NOT an oil painting. Having said this, the print is in the The Connoissuer XXXV printed in 1913 with the back of the frame  Permission by Edward Gallery as described in the Connoissuer -

I am new to this forum .. So please accept my ignorance if not following the right questions

I have come across a print - Portrait of a Lady, P E Falconnet and at the back of the frame, it reads By permission of Edward Gallery. I did a research on the net and found the exact print on The Connoisser, xxxv(35) printed in 1913. The connoissser is online from The Archives

Can you please help guide me any background to it, with guideline value and to get it checked out if genuine
