Antique Questions Forum / Is it really crystal ?

I bought a supposedly crystal captain's/ship's
decanter and there are no markings on it.
It is quite heavy and supposedly came from the U.K.
How can I tell if it is really crystal ?
And is there a place where I can post a picture of it ?
