Vintage Simplex clock is it a  Slave or Master + how do I convert it to a 240 volt power surply

Hello again some help required from some of you experts again

I have a 1960s 70s Wired Simplex wall clock which  came from a old bus depot in Coventry UK
Now Ive done some research and it seems this clock is part of a network of Synchronous clocks
The question I need answering is is this a master or slave clock and what voltage runs it
if I wired it to my UK 240v mains would it run it or blow it  :-[ or do I need some sort of adapter

I have 6 of these clocks and would like to test them to see if they work or not but Im not sure how to
set them up. If you have any info about these clocks you could help me and others out by sharing it  :)

Also are these clocks collectible if so what do you think there worth

Thanks for taking the time to read my Thread

Sounds like a jeweller/clock repairer to avoid bigwig
people always seem to think they have over-wound there clocks/watches when they have stopped
working but fully wound. To keep  clocks/watches going for years is to have them serviced every 2 to 3 years.
10 times out of 10 The problems are the clock/watch requires a good cleaning and a few basic adjustments or even worn parts need to be replaced
just what i need another dyslexic,....i,m bald as a coot..and i,ll stay that way....lemmy.....
LOL...bigwig it took me while to realise what all the fuss was about... Sorry about that bigwull I was a little bit merry when I posted that post  :-[

Over-winding a clock is impossible unless the clock is an antique from the 1600s to 1700s, when the mechanics of the clock were weight-oriented and the pulleys and ropes inside would get tangled together. Even though clock owners still use the term "over-wound," the problem is more likely that the clock requires a good cleaning and a few basic adjustments. A mechanically-driven clock wears down from day-to-day running, producing minuscule metal filings in the gears. Eventually, the coils and springs begin to stick.

Not sure what the cost would be at a jeweler to have it cleaned. Have a look around on google on how to repair/clean
antiques clocks. You may want to tinker with it your self but be warned there is a good chance of doing more damage

Bigwull ebaying is all about finding them key words and putting them in the Title when you know
you have something of value its critical to have them in place to get the best price possible.

Im sure you could have got a MUCH better price on your Capodimonte had you used the right key words
in your Title.

The value in this single item is that the back is the "GUILLOCHE ENAMEL" pattern which is fetching good prices in the UK at the moment
it come with the added bonus of being silver hallmarked

Yes mart and ironlord1963 it seems that we agree on the date As for the date letter, that's difficult, but from what remains, perhaps the 'K' of 1934, or the 'N' of 1937. But mart your value seems very low for a peice of vintage silver i think in the UK it will fetch 3 times your price fingers crossed  :)
