Cash, not trash !! I personally would just lightly sand and oil it !!  More for cleanliness than anything else !! Don`t try to remove all the signs of age !! Before that, 2 tbsp bleach in a quart of water and spray and clean well !! Wood holds all kinds of bacteria if not cleaned regularly with disinfectant !!

Thank you Mart. Any idea of the value of it when cleaned up? If it's only $50-$100 it's probably not worth the time/effort.

I need help figuring out if this butcher block is an antique or not? In other words, is it cash or trash? I'm wondering what a "ballpark" value would be for it. If it's no good, I'll break it and use for fire wood.

Also, should I refinish it to increase it's value? I could do that too.
