I was in upstate New York recently, and picked up a hand tooled dark metal tray about 5" by2 in. Imbossed flowers around the edges, and an old fasioned hairpin, tooled over a tree branch, along with the saying
'I NEED THEE EVERY HOUR'tooled inside the tray. its not silver, its quite a heavy metal, dark grey,on the back you can see how the edges were hammered but there are no marking/signature or numbers. I bought it at a garage sale from an apple farmer, where the lady said it was her gradma's.. can any one give me a place to find some Idea how old this is and what it might be worth?
thanks
