Wow, I cannot believe NO ONE has any insite on this bowl or its maker.  Does that mean it's valuable? or a piece or junk?

It is behind glass.  The reason I say it looks like an oil painting is because you can kind of tell it's on canvas.  I've tried to add a picture that kind of shows almost the paint cracking on the canvas.  At least that's kind of the impression I get.

I purchased this 20" x 24" picture recently at an estate auction.  It is stamped Chicago Portrait Company, Chicago, IL.  To me it looks like an oil painting, but I can find no signature on it (unless it's underneath the frame).  I know the Chicago Portrait Company went out of business some years back.  It looks like the picture had some wear prior to being framed.  Anyone have any insite at all on this picture?

He was in a big box of silverware that I recently purchased at an estate auction.  The seller said it was a toy of hers when she was alittle girl.  So I'm thinking it goes back 50ish years.

Antique Questions Forum / 8" Gold Claw Footed Bowl marked H G S 201

I purchased this bowl at an estate auction.  Despite extensive research I have been unable to find out any information on it.  It measures 8" round and has 3 claw feet each stamped 201.  The makers mark is H G S inside a shield.  I would like to find out the maker and if it is gold plated.  Any information would be great.
