I have a couple of carton's of jewelry that was left to me by my 94 year old mother.  Some Vintage, I believe and some costume.  How do I go about finding someone that would be interested in these pieces?

I have an ornately carved wooden "Jewelry" box.  On the underside of the lid it is carved Souvenir Sardinia 1944 with "44" upside down.  It was sent from my Uncle to my mom during WWII.  Is it rare?
