I have 2 supposedly hand made vases from Japan. My dad bought these in Japan roughly 40 years ago and he claims that they are valuable. He doesn't know anything about pottery (and neither do I) so thought I would ask the experts. What exactly do I have here?
Vase 1: Roughly 6 inches in height with cover and wooden stand. Base and cover painted on both inside and out with different characters and some text.
Vase 2: Taller vase, roughly 12" in height. Painted with different landscapes and buildings.
