Mine could be 70's, 80's. It's not a great picture. I'm tired.

Ty i like the darker color stain they use on your very amazing it is more red mine is like a light walnut color.

Is anything on bottom ??  Where did you find markings ??  It does look 50`s or 60`s style !! Could be an import !!  Neat find !!!

Nope i don't see any carvings, stickers,  adhesive for a sticker or fading where the sticker be. The bottom is lined with a silky felt same as insides all wood is all the same age i cant see any repair indications.

Antique Questions Forum / Re: Type of bottle?

Kinda looks like a piece of a set of liquor jars or i think they are called decanters i've seen bigger ones on american pickers usaully when there that small it should be with a bigger set.

http://www.greatgiftsformen.com/images/prod/decanter-pewter-mono69010.jpg

Pic not exactly the same but it comes in many designs people think it is perfume bottle could be depending if your bottle seems newer then 1960's or 1970's seem it may be because newer bottles have rubber for glass on the top piece for safety from cracking. back in the day when men got a newer bigger decanter the wife would hold there perfume in the old ones. Later on they started making perfume bottles to look the same as a decanter because it was widely recognized by women at that time. Since its Glass smell the male end of top that goes in female end most purfumes will soak in those slices made from the air tight seal and you can smell them if cleaned it could still be there just set the piece in from of houses vent about 8"-12"away once warm to touch smell again the heal will expand glass on the micro level
and push out the smell if soak in cleaner it may no long smell even if heated(can use hair dryer on WARM till making your hand swear be very careful with hairdrayer it gets really hot fast may hurt your piece home vent is 98% safe)

Can Someone give me some info on this Box so i know how to catalog it in my collection Pics at bottom below story and findings. Ok just starting my journey in Picking, Restoration of beat up and broken furniture, also collecting antiques. This is my first pick but i cant identify the year or what it is suppose to be. I believe Its like an mini armoire jewelry box the closest and only box i could find is hand made by Mele but they have markings to show it was them i cant find any. when I bought it the doors where loose missing screws as i was wiping the dust off i found all missing parts behind a one of the drawers. Carefully put them back in I'd give it a 7.5/10 just a little usage wear not any major damage. I found a (queen elz. II violet stamp) also behind the drawer stuck between the wood and the music chime its a 1958-1959 Stamp so i think it might be mid 1950's to late 1950's box.

Please Any Info Will be greatly appreciated I would like to know history of any item i get
Thank You For Your Time,
