Yep! Corning, NY. Thanks again everyone for their help! It's greatly appreciated!  

BTW tyhend1 this chair was part of a parlor set that probably included a sofa, a couple of armchairs, and several side chairs, of which this is one. Do you have access to any more chairs from this set?

Nope   Sadly, I'm not sure what happened to the rest of the set.

1870's!? Wow, thanks so much! This chair was my 99 year old grandmothers and has been sitting in her house ever since I can remember. I also live in upstate NY so ghopper1924, you were spot on!

Hi Everyone! I have recently inherited an antique parlor chair, but have no working knowledge of such pieces. I was wondering if anyone had any information to offer about the chair, such as its origin and possible value. I love antiques, so any new information would be greatly appreciated.
