We found this at a local thrift shop. Anyone have any idea what it is? It has a tiny hook on the top, so it is obviously for hanging something. I am assuming that may be something with glass because of the maroon velour circle. I will post a side pic too. And it is HEAVY. It reminds me of the older Italian frames..but this is not a frame.

Sounds about right..however, I would not sell it. I was happy to find it and will be filling it with photos of my family. =)

Yes, it does have the Staffordshire knot. And it is definitely  not wood..  :)

I scored this from a thrift shop that sells books by the pound..so this book was probably about a dollar. It had no pictures but is in pretty decent condition.

Leather and it has a metal latch to close it. The cover has the name Parkins & Gotto printed in the corner. Gold edges of the pages. From what I understand, this was a company in London.

Anybody have any info or links to tell me more?

I got this gorgeous plate from a thrift shop. It is ceramic or earthenware and has a raised floral pattern. The bottom of it has a Staffordshire knot with a number 5 imprinted in the clay. These are the only markings it has. I have searched the web for the longest time and have found nothing on this plate. I have found plenty that have the Staffordshire knot printed on with other markings but nothing like this. It measures 8" across.

Any help would be appreciated! =)
