Antique Questions Forum / Antique Seeder from a disc harrow
« on: March 24, 2007, 05:25:29 pm »
I have a gorgeous piece - an antique seeder for a disc harrow that has been hanging from the soffit in my kitchen.  The wood seeder is in excellent condition; ift is 47 inches wide x 6 inches deep x 8 inches high with wooden top that lifts up to insert the seed.  The metal mechanism is in place to release the seed  but I used it to hang items from.  It has been cleaned up and is in beautiful shape.  A photo is attached.

I'm hoping someone can help me place a value on it.

Antique Questions Forum / Antique Butter churn
« on: March 24, 2007, 05:18:04 pm »
I have an antique butter churn for which I am trying to find the value.  It was manufactured by H Holmes and Son, and imprinted on it is: "Fyler's Improved Butter Working Churn 2".  It was built in Grafton, Vermont, between 1900-1949 (I think).  The item was in production for just a short period of time, between the time of the pump style and mechanical machine.  It is made of wood with wood stand, top, and interior paddles.  It is 34 inches high, 26 inches deep, and 12 inches wide.  Attached is a photo.

Any help in placing a rough value on the item is greatly appreciated.
