Still a decent margin, wull...
I've picked a few for pennies and turned a couple hundred dollars on them. gotta seek out the collectors/dealers for specific artists, but totally worth the labor hours spent. Subject matter is also key, got a Merli in the shop right now for 10 bucks, probably going to give it away, dealer on your side of the pond laughed at me because it's real common  ;D

Thanks so much, wendy! Wish the silver wasn't completely trashed, guess it'll make a great supply-holder on my counter.  ;D

A mere 2 1/2 inches tall by 3 inches in diameter. The "sterling" mark is barely legible on the bottom portion of the first and fourth photos.

Hey mart!
Nothing maked on bottom, only mark is the "sterling" on the one side. Clueless.... >:(

Again, I know what I know, but somethings are beyond me.
It has a seam, is Rose-colored, most of the sterling is gone, but I think she's pretty old. Victorian?
Thoughts??

I would call this cranberry class !! That grape pattern was popular during most of 1900`s !! Faded out about 1960 or so !!  My guess would be that this set is 1940`s or a bit later by the way the etching is done !!  But let Wendy take a look !! She will likely know !!  Best you can do if it isn`t marked in some way is an educated guess !!
Thanks Mart!
look forward to hearing any other info i can get!!

No signs of a lid at all....this is really bothering me, I can usually figure out quickly on my own what something is, I was going to put it on ebay but I have no idea what to call it  ???  ;D
Yeah, key-wording is rough when you have no idea what you are holding...

Thank you all so much for helping me with this. And, good eye! The casters seem to be wood.
Without physically inspecting it (as casters are easily replaced and Sheraton-Style endured for soooo long), I'm going revival also. I'd guess between 1890's-1920's. Would love to meet this thing in person, although I am not the one to re-upholster anything  ;)

What are the actual wheels on the casters made of?

debodun;
What those people are really asking is: "Do you have any collectible jewelry that you are unaware of and are willing to sell for a meager pittance?" ;)
Too true Rau.
Basically deb, research anything with a name on it.
A pretty penny can be made on the good stuff ;D
every time I list anything with a name (Ciner, Trifari, Coro, even Sarah Coventry!), it sells in minutes.

"Were does he get such wonderful toys?"
So my mother dug out her mothers polish/bohemian glass set and asks me what I know about it. Truthfully, the geography of it's origin is a best guess based on ethnicity, as my grandmother is first gen. off the boat from Poland.
Haven't seen the pattern before, pretty sure it's NOT Fostoria (at least).
Any Guesses??
