Dear All,

I have been offered the below table, however the current owner, nor myself knows anything about it. I do not yet have any dimensions or any further info than the photos.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Regards,
Clint

Thanks all for the information.

I would like it to go to a taxidermist/enthusiast ideally so that the small feather loss can be properly attended to.

I have contacted a few taxidermists/collectors however have had no reply. I'm going to give it a week and then just put it on ebay. I cannot let it just fall apart, it's too nice.

If anyone has any other suggestions of collectors or taxidermists (that will reply!), I would much appreciate it.

Kind regards,

Clint

Thanks all for the information.

I had no idea of the potential value!

I have contacted a couple of taxidermists, so will see what they say!

I don't plan on splitting them as I feel it needs to all be kept together!

Regards,

Clint

Thanks for the link, bigwull.

I'm looking to get rid of it as some feathers are starting to come out and am hoping someone could do the necessary work to prevent further loss.

It's all in very good condition! I got offered £120 for the dome itself a few years ago, however I declined because I want to see it all kept together. I don't think I will get an offer like it again though!

Regards,

Clint

Hi all,

I have this Barn Owl Taxidermy that I'm looking to get rid of. Strangely all the local taxidermists have no idea where this comes from; I'm hoping someone may know something.

It seems to have been created by Shopland and Son, but I'm not too sure. I have attached a photo of the label.

As always, any input is much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Clint

Hi all,

I believe that this is a Harper Beatrice No33 Stove. Does anyone have any information on it? I have searched around online however I keep finding information on other stoves with a different base.

Any information would be great.

Clint

Hi all,

Thanks for the info!

Bigwull, I would appreciate some tips on cleaning this up! I was going to ebay it but I feel that if it cleans up well I may keep it and utilise it somehow!

Clint

Hello all,

I found this carbide lamp and want to find out more info about it. I believe it is a P&H 'Panther' series lamp.

Any input would be much appreciated.

Antique Questions Forum / Tiny Metal Gun

Hi all,

This tiny metal gun has always fascinated me! It has a full functioning trigger and firing pin, and 'breaks' too (as seen in the photo).

As you see from the photos I have scaled it to a Great British One Pound coin: it's tiny!

Any ideas?

Kind regards,

Clint

No, I have no idea who the people are!

Is it a pocket watch chain?

Ah, thanks for the link! I was about to say that I couldn't find any on ebay!

Clint

Hi all,

I found this whilst turning out (again(!)). I have no idea where it is from, who it is or even why I have it in my home! :-\

I think it is brass and the lenses are glass. To get the photos out, the top attachment is unscrewed and the surround 'springs' open.

Any ideas?

Kind regards,

Clint

Antique Questions Forum / Re: Leather Flying Jacket?

Hey all,

Thanks for the input.

All I know is that it was owned by a friend of his, who is now deceased. There are no photos of them wearing it.

I agree, Bigwull, about the slits for pocket access. But also in the fact at without any identifiers, it is just a sheepskin jacket.

The buttons have been described as a hard plastic, like Bakelite.

Regards,

Clint

Hi all,

After finding out about my leather jacket, a friend of mine is curious as to what his is. He thinks it is WW1/2, it has no zips and no pockets, however slits to access pockets.

Any ideas?

Regards,

Clint
