What gold squiggles?  You mean the decoration on the plate?  Don't see any on the underside of what you show.

Your plates do show sign of age/crazing in glaze...which is normal.

How many pieces do you have?  Please state (like 8 cup, 8 saucers, 8 dessert plates, etc.)

The line of gold you can see above the writing (on picture 3), it's on all the plates.

6 cups, 6 saucers, 6 side plates, 1 larger planner (dinner size) and a milk jug.

W R Midwinter had a few sidelines when they took over a few factories, think this was one of them. early mid 20th in a 19th century style.

Midwinter did much better with their contemp stuff.

OK thanks the name of maker helps. The gold squiggles underneath plates mean anything? Are the worth much?
They have been in the family since 1929 roughly.
