A stained old painting covered in dust when i found it. Paint loss on several areas, cracks and dirt  and a few holes in the canvas , i can barely make out the signature , hard to pick it up on camera the artist used a dark color on the lower right hand side , i think i possibly see maybe an e and an S and maybe an h or n, anyone familiar would be a great help , it was a find i was curious about 24x16

the back is heavily stained from age the wood frame has seen better days, the canvas it self has become brittle along the edges , thats all i can really say , thanks in advance

have this looks to be an old heavy stone or plaster slab , depiction of a man with open mouth and grapes in his hair. the backside has two iron loops for hanging. Blue in color with some chips on the front. Found this years ago while taking out recycling lying on the side

Hi mart , i picked up the picture maybe 3 years ago from a sale ,  it was just on the ground and i took it home, i loved the frame even in bad condition , i was making room in my studio and found it collecting dust , forgot i had it

same, thanks mart for the reply, its a pretty nice photo wish i knew who it was

cleaning house and forgot i had this , old wooden frame , image looks to be cut and glued to heavy stock paper but the photo is still intact . Any ideas ?

canvas is a poor way to determine age? that makes no sense , as a painter i have canvas kept in poor condition , works i care nothing about anymore and the backs still clean, talking about the mid 90's , to say canvas condition is no way to get an idea is beyond me
