Antique Questions Forum / Re: Lamp - help with identification

Thank you for all the replys....if it wasn't so gaudy I would keep it myself...quite a unique piece for sure!  I do think it might be missing something from the top...but not sure.  No lamp shade was included.  I actually won a storage auction unit and this was in there along with many antiques (including the KOKEN chair I have in another listing here)...it was by far the most fun I have had going through a storage locker...many unique pieces found!  Thanks again!

Few more pics...I sure would love to know the date of this chair...also the best place to sell...I don't think I will have it restored.  Thanks for all the comments :)

Here are more pictures....not sure if the serial number means it was made in 1868 or not...there is a small metal piece that is missing from the underneath part..but I have that piece that needs to be put back on...not part of the working mechanism though...also a large metal bar is not attached - not sure how to put this together.

Thanks Mart - that is very helpful!  It is a very unique piece...not for me though...so I will sell it at my live auction (I have an Auction Firm and sell live at auctionzip.com - All in Auctions) - not sure what it will bring..but should be interesting.  Thanks for your time!!

Hello - I have a lamp - appears to be from the 1940's - 50's - I cannot find anything online after looking extensively!  It is a very heavy piece with what appears to be broken marble or a green stone under resin on top with either brass or wrought iron legs and middle - very ornate and beautiful piece.  I could not find any markings accept an old "Reader's Digest" round sticker on the bottom - but I don't think it has anything to do with the table.  Would love to know if anyone has any idea of the origin of this lamp or if you ever saw anything like this before...thanks in advance!!

Antique Questions Forum / KOKEN Barber chair help needed

Hello - I recently acquired an antique 1800's KOKEN unfinished barber chair.  It looks as if the previous owner intended on fixing the chair as all the spare parts were in a box.  I was able to almost completely assemble the chair and did find a serial number on the wooden part of the seat - 1868825 - I posted several pics at http://www.soundwavepro.com/LOCK.html
Any help with value would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you for your time  :)
