This picture has a rough tecture, looks like copper or something....frame has a few notches, not sure what this picture is or if it has any value. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Antique Questions Forum / Daniel Wise 1880 Book Anyone shed some light about this book??

Can anyone tell me anything about this book? the auther is Daniel Wise, 1880 not sure what language, German? shows alot of illustrations. Is it worth anything?? I have read a little about Daniel Wise, not sure how famous he is(was). Thanks for any input. Denise

Bought this at a garage sale, they thought it might be old and antique,was framed by aaron bros of CA, they started in the 40's.

Antique Questions Forum / painted wooden hinged box with owls

I have a hinged box that is painted with owls on branches, the owl on the top is raised...there is a gold handle, and a latch to close, the paint is with deep cracks, no signature anywhere.....size is 9'x51/2, and 6' tall. Anyone seen anything like this before. Is it an antique??  Thanks Denise Dawkins[img]
