I believe it to be a sgabello 1800's'ish walnut and possibly north Italian.   That's as much as I've been able to find out.  

I've put it back in my storage unit since I couldn't identify it - I'm was thinking of selling it as soon as I know what it is

Hi there,

I have had this unusual chair in my house for quite some time now and I was wondering if someone could help me identify it.  I believe the wood is walnut - could the chair be Italian?  Dutch?
