I purchased this porcelain umbrella stand recently at an estate sale. I have done quite a lot of research online. I know that, based on the " 'tower mark' with 'F-A-M' over 'BONN' " (per
http://www.porcelainmarksandmore.com/northrhine/poppelsdorf_2/00.php), that it was made between 1885 and 1920. There are also handwritten numbers '1830, 245, 4753/I' on the bottom. I understand that the numbers correspond to perhaps the location that it was made as well as the actual artist. However, I cannot find a particular reference to shed any light trying to identify that information from these numbers. I have looked thoroughly and have only seen maybe 2 other Bonn Umbrella stands that are similar. I was wondering if someone could verify the above information, offer any future information and maybe supply a possible value. I have attached a few pictures. There are a few cracks at the top and one area that is chipped. In the pictures it probably looks like the glaze is chipped on a spot at the bottom. I think that it is wall paint that has rubbed off of the wall, onto the finish. I am afraid to scrub hard enough to remove it. Please let me know if I can supply any further information. Thank you for your help!
