I will say, if that is the case....they did an excellent job. It looks very professional, and looks like it was "supposed to be that way."

Hey, so I saw this in a thrift store today. Horrible pic but, in person it has very metallic look to it. It is probably 20"x14" or so....I didn't measure it. It's almost like their is a layer of black, and then it is cut out where where the painting is, and again, the painting/lithograph, whatever it is.....has a shiny metallic look to it. Does anyone have info on what this might be or if it could be worth anything?

Thanks.

I've got this antique soup tureen. Wondering if any of you guys could shed some light on it. It is roughtly 12 inches across. It's got some weight to it, probably weighs 5 lbs. I don't know if it is ceramic or porcelain to be honest. I has no makers mark's on it except for "1851" on the bottom. It's got chateau de versailles on it - some kind of coat of arms or something, which is in France. Anyways, if you couldn't already tell, I'm clueless on this one. Any help is GREATLY appreciated - What it is, how old, and if it's worth anything. See pics below. Thanks!
