Oh dear.... Large sigh from me then. I will have to resign myself to just loving it regardless. I would have loved to age it roughly. I'd guess it by the style of the house, numbers style etc as 1910-20. The dawn of "le tack!" lol :-D someone will know some day. Thanks for looking anyway all. (even if your retinas WERE damaged by it)

Ok, so now a big wully has gone right over my head (not the first time!) I didn't take offense so don't worry. I work in a joke shop so I consider myself quite brave. I will upload a picture of the rear of it.

Ha ha ha, Thanks Cheeky. Can't think why anyone would feel uncomfortable or unwelcome on this forum. ;-)

Yep, I could almost predict at least one person would say that. I never claimed it was beautiful, but I love it. (somebody has to)
I gather you have not seen one before?

Hi All.
Sorry to be asking about such trivial rubbish, but I have always been fond of a bit of toot and have a small affection for donkey barometers. Among my collection is something very similar, as seen in picture. I keep trying to hunt out some kind of history on it because it strikes me as quite old. It has numbers on the rear which are old style font. It got the usual "foreign" tag underneath. I am yet to even lay eyes upon another one. On line searches are coming up blank too.
Any kind of information would be much appreciated. Just age approximation, touch of history...
Thanks
