Thanks everyone for the input.  However, even with those thoughts, I STILL cannot find it anywhere.  I have another feeler out at a Vaseline Collectors site.  I will let you know if I get any hits on that.  Again, thanks.

overall height is 7". insert is 4.25" tall and 2.5: at widest. base is 6" across. Next level graduates to 3.5" across and, finally, 4.25" across.

The top consists of 6 outer holes, which access the middle compartment only. The insert has 1 hole.

Hope this helps. Thanks.

Hi Mart,

I've been lurking-- ;)

I have tried searching for "smoking pipe" holder, epergne, satin green, vaseline, uranium....you name it, I've probably tried it. Can't find anything similar.

Hope all is well.

Greetings,

It has been a while since I've poked my nose in here. Hope everyone is doing well.

I was wondering if anyone can help me ID this piece; maker, era, pattern, and worth.  There are no maker marks. Pics below.

As always, thanks in advance for any assistance.

Sugar,

No. The juicer, depending on condition, runs below $40. I found it earlier this year on Ebay when it sold for $18.50 to $22.50.

The Northwood AKA “Jackson” was first advertised by Northwood in 1898, this vaseline bowl was made of uranium glass, producing a yellow opalescence that glows green under UV light.
The bowl is 8" across at its widest point, and stands 3 1/2" high. This scarce handgrip shape is also known as a card receiver from Victorian times. As of June this year, I found it selling on Ebay for $80.00.

There is Vaseline glass, which is when the color under normal light looks like Vaseline Petroleum Jelly. Then there is Uranium glass, which has a deeper, more emerald green look. Both will glow under black light due to the uranium content in the color mixture of the glass.

The first and last pics are of a uranium glass juicer. The second and third are of a Northwood Fluted Swirls Vaseline glass three footed dish.

Greetings,

I was wondering if y'all can help hubby and I identify these vases. They measure 8.5 " tall and 3.5 " diameter pedestal base.  We don't normally go for items like this, but since there was a pair...sigh...well, you know.  :-\

Tried this one time and it just kept clocking. Sorry if it double posts.

Cogar,

What you have is a contemporary piece of Carnival Glass from the late 1900s.

CG started in the early 1900s. Check out DDoty.com for info on the antique items. There is also a section on Contemporary.

mart,

You pegged it. I have to take pics of everything...a very daunting task, for sure. But I will keep y'all posted.

mart,

Thanks for the reassurance. I love them! And I am loathing putting them up for sale. But, then again, I can't keep everything-giggle!

Right now, I am in the process of taking pics of everything and exporting them to a tablet....my very own traveling store catalog! Plus starting to put together an Ebay page.  Not all that easy when you work 8 hrs a day, too...sigh.

Oh well, that's what I get for getting the 'fever'.

Hope all is well with you!

Greetings,

Okay, now that I've got your attention  ;D

In our glass hunts, hubby and I found a Portieux Vallerysthal Amber Box with Squirrel Lid (last pic). Today, we found a Portieux Vallerysthal Blue “Argonaut Shell” Sugar pictured below. While researching it, I discovered that Westmoreland had purchased the molds and reproduced this item with their maker mark "WG". I have looked all over the one we bought and it doesn't have a maker mark, but it does have the "PV France" sticker.  Does that mean this is the real thing?  Call me skeptical.

Thanks in advance, as always, for your input.

Cogar,

It is Dugan's Ski Star Peach Opalescence Ruffle Bowl. It is only 6" in diameter. It has the Compass design on the exterior.

Mart,

Yes, I still do CG. And have gotten some nice finds. Mostly mislabeled items that the dealer didn't take the time to properly research.

But it has evolved into other areas. Hubby has, indeed, discovered Uranium glass. And he has a few true Vaseline pieces. The one featured being the latest find.

We stumbled across a local man liquidating a hoarder's stash and we get items at crazy low prices. (This one cost us $2.14!) And because of that, we have expanded into colored depression and pressed glass, and crystal.  From Fenton to Moser to Westmoreland.

I have plastic totes FILLED with antique glassware. And am now selling in a local Antique Mall. We have been at that only 2 weeks, so really don't know where it will go. Am pondering opening our own Antique Mall in about 5 years. Hubby and I aren't getting any younger, ya know! Giggle.
