Antique Questions Forum / I would like help to identify the age and origin of this item please .

I've just inherited it from my mother. She was very attached to it so now I would like to find out more about it . It is complete and does not seem to have any broken pieces ...I would like to know perhaps ...origin, age, style ???if possible . I live in Belgium and have joined this forum because I cannot find any forums in Belgium.

Should I hold on to it ? or is it not worth it ? I like it but my husband does not ..perhaps if I know more about it I can persuade him to keep it .
