Thanks for all the help!  I did look up Rafaellesco and found some tableware from the 1950's or 60's that matches my vase.  It was on an Italian pottery forum.  Fantechi, according to the administrator. Here's a pic.

I thought it was a compass!   Looking at pottery marks online.  I'm new to antique and vintage collecting. Is the mark perhaps an A?

Found this vase at flea market. Love it.  The mark appears to be Egisto Fantechi. Any idea of the time period and artist?
