Antique Questions Forum / Primitive Pottery?
« on: April 25, 2014, 08:42:23 pm »
My mother has had this for years, probably got it in the 70's. I have tried searching primitive Pottery,  southern pottery, coffee pot, teapot, jugs, etc,...to no avail. Because of the repair, I am thinking it might be something.. Any suggestions would be immensely appreciated.

Sorry, it looks blurred because it is. This is as good as it gets. I can't read it because it is not clear.

I had the magnifier out trying to figure out what it said. It's not legible enough for me, but then I have no idea about this pottery. The more I'm looking it up, the more I'm loving it. I appreciate all your help.

Interesting info, especially on the monogram, I had no idea how to figure that out. I pulled up Chinese and Japanese alphabets is why I was thinking it was possibly from Japan. So the monogram Russian. So you think this is a more recent piece?  This is interesting. Thanks :)

I picked this piece up the other day at a thrift store because I felt it was something special. I've researched under every term I can think of yet I can't find anything. Does anyone have any clue what this is, it's true country of origin, the year it was made and it's value? It is about 5 inches tall. Thank you for your time.
