Very good idea! I was concerned about having to link it to a bank account and I do not have any credit cards so I was not sure how to go about that. I guess I can start a separate account for online sales. That prepaid master card you bought, you can use that to buy online?? I never thought about that! That may be a good alternative for me. I guess you cannot sell with just that though? Idk how that would be possible lol.

I have an ebay account but I was not sure how to set up a pay pal account. I will need to figure that out first.

At least its just a complaint and not a lawsuit. Although the suit would never stick or hold up in court due to the fact that they were following Nevada laws.

Their popularity will always put them under a magnified glass for situations like this.

Thanks for sharing!

Swann Galleries gave me a value amount that they believe I could get for it. So the number I currently have on it is right around what they said I could get.
They would have consigned it but the gentlemen I was speaking with says they only take pieces $1,000+
I will keep my eyes peeled for new finds  ::)

I was also informed that this is not numbered because Crite did not perceive them as being a limited edition/print since he was still painting them.
Since each one is still hand painted, they are all different. With hours of searching, I still have not seen ANY others online so I am assuming there are not many out there.

I have started hearing back from some galleries and one in Boston will get back to me later this week or next about possibly purchasing the work.

Swann Galleries Responded with this:
"I don't have any more specific information regarding this piece. You are right - we had sold another work of the same subject. It was actually a lot with a pair - there was also another different image, "Bride of the Sun". So it appears that they are hand-colored but the line drawing is an off-set lithograph.

Crite often made off-set lithographs of his ink drawings and linocuts. He would later embellish them with watercolor, gouache or gold-leaf. They are often hard to distinguish from the originals."

The gentlemen I was speaking with says, "THEY are hand colored" but the lines are from a lithograph. I am taking this as the ones that Swann sold were like this one as well. Therefore this is a genuinely painted Crite piece where a similar one sold for over $1,300.

I emailed him back asking for a estimated value to see what he says.

I am very curious to find out the meaning behind this piece even more now!

I just emailed Swann Galleries to see what they may have to say.

Pretty neat! Never seen anything like that.

I cant help you to much but if it is old, definitely looks like something royalty would have had.
