found this tilr today between a few garden items.
I think the owner of this tile did some research and made the inscriptions on the back in blue color.
and maybe somebody later on highlight them with black.?
it reads:  jerusalem jordan sea  and the botom reads Jesus and there are also the inscription M.L.
There are two figurs, one of a bull and one of a goat? and next to the figures some strange symbols to me.
somebody maybe more knowledge about this?
got some more pictures in gallery if follow the link.

If you TRULY feel that this is that old then take it to a local university or museum and get them to help you with it!

thank you KC. What hapend to you? Your always the man that has all the answers.
That's why I come always back to this website. I wanted first a confirmation before I take it somewhere.
I don't want to waist my time and others if this tile turns out to be modern.

that's a good advice. will take it to the museum.
Its only the back inscriptions which confuse me.
don't know what hapend to the picture of the back, will upload it again.

Last pictures are indentures, mortgages, etc.  These were printed or written on vellum (animal skin) and some had attached seals.
The blue and grey embossed tax stamps on the documents are not that valuable.
I have hundreds of these and some with printed value's reaching £50.
Its a really small collectors market and values of the stamps around £1 till £7-8.
Documents on vellum are fairly common in UK boot-sales and go for circa £5-10 each.

thought it was Japanese, but now I think its Chinese.
found similar on the net advertised as Chinese Blue & White Crackleware Vase.
But my vase has other marks, or is this a Chenghua Period Made?
Anybody more info about mark and date?
