Antique Questions Forum / Sword & Bayonet identity

I am trying to identify these weapons of war that have been handed down to me.

I am trying to get more information on this sword :

My mom gave them to me and said her fathers cousin was in WW2.  And said that the sword was possibly taken from a dead enemy??

Any information or suggestions of where I can continue my search and find more information is appreciated.
