According to Warmans Hummel field guide:, basically these were produced by Dublers Company during world war 2 when the Nazis forbid Goebel to produce Hummels.

trying to get some info and value on a pair of "copper looking Hummel bookends"for my aunt, I've googled for hours and believe they are early 1940s Herbert Dubler bronze bookends, everything I can find just says that he made 60 or so figures and " even did some in bronze", but that's it. someone has a set on ebay, but listed as " brass Hummels"....I'll try post some pics
