Edwin Bennett pottery. Just search the usual sites for similar items.

It could be unique and was placed inside the box, like many cigar boxes have something you fold back to reveal the contents

I'd say a bit later than Mat, looking at the base rim.

It's not a modern copy but it's a 20th century version of an earlier vase.

They sometimes bury them to resemble ageing and remove the fresh look of something recently made.

I would say it’s not that old but it might be a 20s, 30s piece which was buried in undergrowth for a time.

How could you look throw those with the covers in that position ?!

It’s also too small, Mart, if it’s the little mark below the number in the photo

Hallmarks on the left bottle - might help if we know those

The mark on the Dr Wall is similar to a known mark but not identical. The base doesn’t look quite right ( the rim ).

Here’s a good example of the genuine article.

The mark on the Kovels piece is similar but not identical to #2 here

It might be right and I’d advise the owner to send images to the factory.
Samson porcelain is very collectible itself, so there’s value even if it’s not Worcester

The other doesn’t resemble a makers mark to me, just a very small crescent near a pattern / factory number.

Peerless Products Rock Maple bowling pins. Having the crate is a nice touch.

People repurpose these now so it’s not just bowling enthusiasts who buy them.

The Dr Wall looks like one of those Samson homages; the French factory which copied styles from across the world to a very high standard and used pseudo marks.

The Worcester...nope. Resembles something more like Copeland but might not be British

$100 ?

I don’t buy the provenance. A certificate of authenticity based on word of mouth ?

Rauville, I finally woke up to that fact, it isn't a Colt.  Can anybody read the name on the damaged grip panel??

On the grip it says “ CAL-6.35 “ with a crowned lion within a circle beneath that text.

English text on the barrel “ 1913 Automatic Pistol “

A quick google tells me it could have been made by Retolaza Hermanos of Eibar in the 1920s

Looks like one of those cheap Spanish knockoffs that they were making between WWI and the civil war in Spain. I just can't see Mr. Capone ever using something as inexpensive and "yawn producing" as that poor little thing. :-[

Perhaps it was used by Alan Capone, of Hot Springs, AR ?
