Antique Questions Forum / does anyone know this Canadian painter?

I am hoping someone might have some information on a Canadian painter from the 1930s:
my Grandparent's received an oil painter signed either "Lilie Kay" or perhaps "Clie Kay" or "Ll Kay" for a wedding present. The painting is a winter scene of a house or farmhouse dominated by white, royal blue, and peachy browns. It is titled "St. Agathe. P.Q." They were married in 1939 in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, and my mother thinks the artist was a local painter.
