Wow...the plethora of knowledge you guys have. I've learned a lot on this piece. I purchased it from a local auction for $9.00.

I didn't even see thev DPV till now....need my eyes checked. I googled DPV, but didn't see anything. sorry, I just started buying antiques.

Its made by Franziska Hirsch with markings on the bottom of S & G Gump Co. San Francisco and dresden. The H with wings is her marking. I just don't have a clue of what it is. It measures 5 1/8"    on top 6 1/2" diameter on bottom, and is 2" in height. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
