Thank you for such a warm welcome.  I will enjoy lurking and learning.  Expect pictures soon.  Have a wonderful day!

I will shop the other two around locally and see if anyone is interested.  One is already free of its confinements, and actually is much prettier, I think.  I do thank you for all you have done and for introducing me to another great forum.  I do believe this was the last of the unknown stuff.  I can figure out what most of the rest is, and can find copies of it online.  thanks again for all you do!

thank you so much.  I have to agree.  You can see where the crackle slip was applied haphazardly and the underlying pottery is snow white and not at all affected by age.  I bought these on eBay years ago for less than $10, so if I get half that in metal scrap, I will be very happy.  Thanks again all of you.  Hunky will rest a little easier now, knowing he isn't harboring a violent human who destroys history on a whim,  ;D

Thank you Mat.  I took the metal part off of one of them.  Here's what is under the bottom plate. I like it better without the metal on it.  It is definitely a stamp, as you can see the imprint on the underside.  The little box will go into the contribution box and the metal scraps into the semi-precious metal bin. I am not in the habit of destroying antiques and Hunky DID have a bit of shock to get over there, hehehehe.

http://s39.photobucket.com/user/LadyZazu/library/forum%20pics?sort=3&page=1  here is the album I created.  Being a complete newby, I am not sure if it's okay to post all 50 pictures of these, so please if you will, go there and see the pics.  thanks.  Let me explain why this is important. I am not a collector.  I was married to a collector and my foster mother and her mother were avid collectors. They are all gone now.  I inherited too much of their stuff.  I want to sell it to raise money for my passion--homeless veterans.  My beloved Hunky shares this passion, so we are on a mission. So far, we have built one cabin this year and have the groundwork finished for 5 more on a hill we own.  Rather than donate this stuff to charity, I am trying to sell it.  Thank you for your help.  I realize that none of this will pay for a whole cabin, but even if it affords a man or woman a new set of pots and pans or decent NEW bedding, it is worth it.  Pics of the first cabin and the view from the front porch can be seen in my Photobucket album named Cabin 1.  Our focus is for veterans who have returned with PTSD, etc. Our waiting list is growing and cabin 2 work begins in ten days.  Because of MarthaHill's work on the Kovel's site, I was able to sell some stuff and contribute to a new refrigerator and stove for our first occupant.  He expects to live here for the rest of his life.  Thank you for your efforts.

Hi. My name is Norma and I actually own these box things.  I am also a dreadful newby at photographing with this camera and apologize for the quality of what I posted.  I will try to do it again, only better this time.  There are three of these, which made me suspicious, and they appear to be old. Two Butterfly shaped ones and a fan. There is crazing and and pitting on all three.  I love pottery, and have never seen this on new stuff.  I will take some new pictures now and post them. thanks for your info. I will try not to ask too many questions.
