Would it be bad if I wanted to restore it?  It's not really worth much, right?  I just don't want to devalue it if it is!

Hi there and welcome !!  Neat buy !!  Can you tell me what is on the bracket in the first pic and the approx size of the mirror ??

Thanks for the welcome, Mart :). I'm unsure of what the letters are on the bracket, as they are a bit hard to read. From what I can make out the first letter is Either a 'D' a 'P' or an 'O'.  The second letter looks like an 'A'.  The third looks like an 'M' or a 'T' and the fourth letter looks like it might be a 'U'. Ive tried googling every variation I could come up with, but I didn't have any luck :(.  I was hoping maybe showing the brackets would help identify it!

The glass in the mirror measures to be just under 5 1/2" long (14.5cm) and just under 3 3/4 inches wide (9.25cm). The total length, including the handle is 10 1/4".
Thanks for your reply!

Here was an oval one, .... similar to yours, .... listed on E-bay.

I did see this one in my searching, the bracket looks similar, but it is made of cast iron and there isn't really any information about it :(. I was hoping to see if anyone knew the company that made them back in the day and just to really find out more about it.

Hi there!
So I have this a antique shaving mirror that I found a while back and bought for $1. I didn't even know it was a mirror when I found it, I just thought it looked pretty neat!  After doing some online searching, I found out that it is an antique shaving mirror with scalloped glass, but that's about all I could find out about it! It seems that the frame is made from copper, and I haven't been able to find anything like it in my web searches. Can someone please tell me more about it?  I think it's really cool and would love to know more about it!  Thanks in advance!  I've attached photos below :)
Warmly,
Sarah
