Antique Questions Forum / Re: Can anyone help identify these plates?

Thanks for the input.  The mark looks like it was pressed into the clay, not inscised or scratched.  The plates may be molded but each has a different charming motif of country and farm scenes.  On the back of most plates There is an initial or two painted on in black.  These differ from plate to plate.  The mark is definitely HT, clearer on some plates than others.  The first line on the top of the oval is a little jagged, not totally straight.  Not sure the sword or mouse thing is correct.

The mark is pressed into the clay.  In addition, many of the pieces also have an initial or two somewhere else on the back but those are painted in black.  I assume that indicates the individual who designed or painted it.

Have tried to find clues to the origin of these with no success.  Any help would be  greatly appreciated.  The set consists of about a dozen plates in 2 sizes as well as saucers and small cups.  Each plate has a different motif.  They are primitive/folk designs.  The imprint on the back is oval and looks kind of like Pac man with "HT" inscribed in the lower half of the oval.  Anyone have any ideas??
Thanks
