Antique Questions Forum / Parachute Lamp

A neighbor is going through her late husband's items and came across this parachute style lamp. It appears to have a metal lamp shade with punched out stars to show light through. The parachutist appears to be female. Our neighbor thinks it could be from the 30s. I've attached three photos to give you a better idea of what this lamp looks like. We are looking to get a better idea of what this lamp is (Amelia Earhart, maybe?) and what the possible value would be. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
