 Tim, thank you for that site!! My tub is nearly exactly like that one hanging on the wall, but mine is all one piece(except the foot end). It curves and sits on two metal supports under the head and foot. Wow...I paid $95 here for mine. I guess I did not pay too much.

 You are so right....that's just what it looks like. A cowboy bathtub.
I just wish I knew the history of this kind of tub.

I bought an old tin bathtub and it is 7" long. It is 18" deep at the head end and tapers to 12" at the foot. It has a drain at the foot end. It is very much shaped like half of an old time coffin. I am wondering when it could have been made and where. I cannot find anything except the history of enameled, claw-foot tubs on the internet. The tub is probably not worth much as I did not pay much for it! It is very interesting, though.
