Antique Questions Forum / Please help me with my Ed Roos hope chest...
« on: April 22, 2008, 08:33:29 pm »
I have an Ed Roos hope chest with what I think is a 3.5 inch deep jewelry box in the top portion, which latches to the lid part of the chest. It has hinges that allow you to open one or both tops at the same time. It is made of solid cedar and has a dark brown finish. All of the trademark felt seals are all fully in tact. The jewelry box portion has the original velvet fabric all still in good condition. Both of the inner lids have the ROOS CHESTS Forrest Park Illinois stamp, but I cant find any identifying numbers. I have run out of ideas on where to find out more infomation about the chest? I need help possibly dating or estmating the value? If you can please help me send me an e-mail, princess099@sbcglobal.net attn. hope chest. If you can help me I can e-mail you pictures:)
