Antique Questions Forum / Doe's anyone have an idea as to what this unusual jug is or where its from?

I found a similar jug on ebay of my design except with no hand etching, it said it was Islamic. Anyone have any ideas, it looks at least 120-150 years old, hand hammered fabricated, looks like pewter, no markings.
