Antique Questions Forum / Looking for information; 1/2" gold German swastika pin circa 1850

I recently found a 1/2" gold German swastika pin reportedly brought to America in the 1850's.  The pin has increadibly fine detail work with what appears to be gold ribbon.  I am wondering about its origin and value.  If anyone has information or is interested I would appreciate it.  Picture available upon request.
