Antique Questions Forum / Another Clown

Picked this up because I thought it looked old. Not expecting any real value, just curious as to the age/style that it represents. Thanks :)

I will take a pic of the bottom when I get home. I looked all over and couldn't find any markings. Here is another pic of the front.

Hello - this clown stands about 3 feet tall and is made of hard plastic (seems hollow). Was wondering if he has any age to him? Thanks so much!

I don't think it is authentic. Shows hardly any signs of age, not even 100 years let alone a 1000. Plus, I don't think a cup/vase/jar maker of ancient times would have used stone to depict such elaborate designs. Probably would have chosen a better material, such as a precious metal. Most likely a souvenir sold to tourists. Obviously bring it to a local antique dealer to find out for sure.

I originally thought so when I purchased it because of how old the cord is. But I was told on another forum that it is in fact a modern base that has been combined with old parts. The base is made out of metal.

Can anybody tell me how old this lamp is and whether or not it is worth anything?
Thanks!

Is it an antique? Is it valuable?

It is pretty heavy, except for the little tray that sits inside.

No, unless you can identify it by it's design (what era it was a part of)

D&B will know..

Hey guys.
Do you know what type of dish this is?
Do you think this is the original price tag, or is the dish older?
Also, does it hold any value today?

Thanks

Thanks for the info. I am not sure this helps at all, but I did find another very old school desk with a slatted seat as well.

Hello everyone. I found this school desk from 1871 at the thrift store yesterday. I've come to understand that the gold paint is not original and have begun the process of removing it. I would, however, like to know if the seat is likely original. Thanks for your help.
