Antique Questions Forum / LIMOGES trinket box
« on: September 29, 2005, 12:19:32 pm »
I have a petitie Limoges trinket box it does not stand much over an inch tall and is about 5.5" around the middle. The top has a man and women in a  garden or park with trees and water behind them.  It says Limoges Paris Made in France. Etched in the Porcelain there is  a pair of what looks like, scissors, and the number   887   These appear on the bottom.  I tried to load the photo but it would not take. If you would to see a picture send me your email address. Thanks for any information.

« on: January 25, 2005, 11:21:55 am »
I have an Ebeling & Reuss Limoges trinket box. It is signed, but I am unable to read the signature.   It is just under 2 3/4" tall.  It is 3" long and 2" wide.  It is white with gold design and a pink flower on the top. It is a three (3) legged box. Does anyone know anything about these? I cannot find any information. Thank you

I have a J L Menau Grof Von  Henneberg Porzellan 1777( all in a green coat of arms-on the bottom of the box- with a walking bird, looks like a 3 leaf clover and a crown above J L Menau) made in Germany hinged box.  It has a gold '40' stamped on the bottom of the box. The box is porcelain, round and bright yellow.   Along the side of the box and the top are gold flowers and leaves. On the lid encircled in gold there is  a man, with a guitar, and a lady sitting holding flowers in a garden with a city view behind them.  There is a gold metal band on the top and bottom where the box opens.  Inside on the top lid is a mirror. The bottom inside is white with colorful flowers. The box measures 3.5" across and 2.5" tall.  I am not able to find any information on this box anywhere on the internet.  I would appreciate any help in identifying this piece and possible value. thank you so much
