Antique Questions Forum / Re: 1902-1903 Singer Treadle Sewing Machine

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.

I don't want to sell it - it has sentimental value + since I know how to sew - it is a nice piece of history to admire... lol

However, at the moment my sewing machine is in pieces... Hoping to finish it sometime soon.

I understand what you are saying. Thanks for the quote of the monetary value, though.

Do you know of any good live auctions to suggest? Where can you find a listing online?

Thanks for your help!

Hey,

Good to know. Thanks for the info.

Do you know the best places to try to sell it?

I was trying to find similar ones posted in e-bay. Otherwise, I was trying to e-mail antique house hardware stores...

Thanks!

Hello,

Does anybody know where I can find more info. on these dishes?

On one side:

It is white with gold trim.

On the back, it has a stamp that says made in the USSR.

I've been told that there were many manufactured..., but would still like to know it's history and value.

Can upload photo.

Hello,

I have an antique doorknob and latch from a door to a house that was built in the late 1800's.

I've been trying to look up the history/value of the door knob from online antique hardware stores, otherwise.

Would love to know more info. on this type of doorknob.

Thanks!

Hello,

I've tried to research the history of this type of sewing machine.

From the serial number, I have found out that many were manufactured in New Jersey in 1902-1903.

I've been trying to restore it for the last month.

I've taken off the veneer and bought a new sheet to replace the chipped one. Have re-stained the drawers and painted the metal base with black rust paint. Hope to complete it sometime soon...

I know the sewing machines that date back to the 1850's have more value, but would like to know roughly how much one (with six digits) in general sells for in an antique shop?  Does anybody know how much they roughly sell for?

If you know of any links, otherwise; would appreciate it.
Note: The sewing machine looks similar to the one in the photo I attached.

Thanks!

EBay Forum / Any suggestions on how to sell antique china?
« on: September 02, 2008, 10:54:45 pm »
Hello,

I have an incomplete set of antique china: Washington Pottery Ltd. - Dorchester/Hanley England.

I have got an insurance quote from www.replacements.co m to know the value of each piece I have.

I'm interested in selling it on E-bay. I've contacted antique dealers, otherwise.

I've researched other dishes sold online by the same manufacturer and have noticed them being sold.

Just want an E-bay's expert advice!

Appreciate your help!

Thanks!
